Dr Mobley Performed 12 Times More Rhinoplasties Than The Average plastic Surgeon and 40% More Than Other Facial Plastic Surgeons.

A Rhinoplasty, or nose job, is surgery performed on the nose to change its shape and give it a more pleasing cosmetic appearance. This nose surgery can also improve nasal airflow in cases where nasal blockage is present. Since your nose is your most prominent facial cosmetic feature, choosing the doctor who performs your nose job is undoubtedly one of the most important cosmetic decisions to be made.

Understanding Rhinoplasty

When Utah Rhinoplasty is performed by an experienced facial plastic surgeon it usually goes quite well, with a happy patient and a happy surgeon once all the healing is complete. However, if Rhinoplasty is performed by a less experienced surgeon, the risks for complications can arise along with the risk of needing additional nasal surgery known as Revision Rhinoplasty. This can lead to an unhappy patient and unnecessary further cost down the road. By choosing an experienced surgeon, such as Dr. Mobley, the chances for an excellent experience are greatly increased.

Dr. Mobley brings over 25 years of nasal surgery experience to every operation he performs. He uses an artistic balance of various rhinoplasty “styles” choosing the best techniques from the various styles that include: traditional endonasal, modern “open structure” rhinoplasty, as well as some of latest techniques using certain special techniques and instrumentation for preservation rhinoplasty.

Your nose is a very important part of your general health. Good nasal breathing is part of exercising, daily life, and of course a restful sleep. To get optimal results, it takes a well-trained, experienced doctor and artist. Dr. Mobley is one of the premier nasal surgeons in the USA and has been extensively sought out by media outlets including Inside Edition, Good Morning America, People and Cosmopolitan magazines. He is also consistently rated as a top Plastic Surgeon in Park City, Utah, a Vitals.com top 10 Doctor & Patients’ Choice Award, and a Castle Connelly “Top Doc” many years running. We invite you to experience the difference for yourself and it all starts here.

SHOULD I CONSIDER RHINOPLASTY?

Perhaps you wish to have a nose job because your nose has a round tip, a bump on the bridge, or may just look too big for your face. Blocked nasal passages may also be a concern. Rhinoplasty is best suited for patients over the age of 16 and into later adulthood.

COMMON REASONS FOR RHINOPLASTY:

  • Large dorsal humps
  • Flat bridge and/or wide nostrils

RHINOPLASTY IN UTAH

Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT DOES RHINOPLASTY SURGERY INVOLVE?

Utah Rhinoplasty is an operation performed on the nose to change its shape to give a more pleasing and natural-looking cosmetic appearance. Dr. Mobley brings over 25 years of nasal surgery experience to every nose job he performs. He borrows the best techniques from all of the current rhinoplasty “styles”; mixing endonasal techniques, modern “open structure” rhinoplasty, as well as some of latest techniques and powered instrumentation for preservation rhinoplasty.

This balanced approach allows Dr. Mobley to curate an exact surgical plan to help you reach your rhinoplasty goals. This multi-style approach combines a traditional emphasis on a natural-looking cosmetic shape change with a particular focus on preservation of the nose anatomy (tip/alar cartilages and septum); and most importantly- preserving, often improving, nasal airflow and function.

HOW MUCH DOES RHINOPLASTY (NOSE-JOB) NORMALLY COST?

Understanding the investment for rhinoplasty at Mobley MD starts by appreciating our commitment to quality, safety, and transparent pricing. With over 20 years of experience, Dr. Mobley provides an exceptionally high-quality surgical experience designed to deliver outstanding, personalized results.

Your rhinoplasty fee includes three primary components: the surgeon’s fee, surgical facility fee, and anesthesia fee. The exact surgeon’s fee is determined following a detailed consultation, where Dr. Mobley conducts a thorough evaluation, discusses your aesthetic goals, and formulates a tailored surgical plan.

Most rhinoplasty procedures are performed at Millcreek Surgical Suite, our AAAASF-certified surgical facility, with care provided by some of Utah’s leading anesthesia specialists.

Combining all fees, a standard rhinoplasty at Mobley MD typically starts around $14,500 & up, depending on the specifics of your individual case. Dr. Mobley performs more rhinoplasties annually than any other surgeon in the Mountain West, ensuring unmatched expertise and experience.

After your consultation, you’ll receive a clear and easy-to-understand quote for your personalized surgical plan. Facility and anesthesia fees are time-based and may vary according to the actual duration of your procedure. While lower-priced options might be available elsewhere, choosing Mobley MD means selecting one of the region’s most highly respected rhinoplasty experts, ensuring exceptional outcomes and complete peace of mind.

WHAT FINANCING OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE?

HOW LONG IS THE RECOVERY PERIOD?

During the first week there will be some swelling and possibly some bruising in the upper forehead or upper eyelid region (click link for example image). Approximately one week after surgery, you’ll return to have any stitches removed. Most patients are completely ready to go back out in public 10-14 days after the operation.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT THE DAY OF THE SURGERY?
Like all cosmetic surgery, rhinoplasty is real surgery and, as such, we place a very strong emphasis on your medical safety.

Your surgery will be performed at a nationally certified surgical facility.  You will be put to sleep and monitored by some of the best anesthesia professionals in the state of Utah.  Learn more about Millcreek Surgical Suite at www.millcreeksurgery.com.  If Dr. Mobely is performing nasal surgery covered by insurance your surgery will often be performed at Utah Surgical Center.
HOW PAINFUL IS RHINOPLASTY?

In my experience, many of my patients are pleasantly surprised by the minimal amount of discomfort they have in the postoperative period. In my practice, we very rarely use packing – one of the most uncomfortable facets of facial plastic surgery; my patients greatly appreciate this. Medicine for pain is always provided. Most patients take this for 3-7 days following surgery.

WHEN CAN I RETURN TO SCHOOL OR WORK?

If you do light (office) work, you could return to these activities four to five days after the operation. If you do more physical work, seven to ten days is more appropriate. If you care for young children at home, it is best to have someone available to help with their care for the first four to seven days.

HOW WILL MY NEW NOSE LOOK?

During your consultation, I will use computer morphing software to give you an idea of how your nose will look after the operation. I will also show you before and after photos of patients that have undergone similar types of cosmetic changes to help give you realistic expectations of what can be achieved from surgery.

WHAT TECHNIQUES DOES DR. MOBLEY USE?

Dr. Mobley’s 25-plus years of experience encompasses all of the current techniques. This ranges from traditional endonasal rhinoplasty (working through the nostrils), to open structure approach (where the skin is partially lifted open). Open structure revolutionized rhinoplasty and is the under-pinning of many other techniques that reduce the likelihood of complications following a nose job. Dr. Mobley also embraces many of the techniques, and advanced instrumentation, for preservation rhinoplasty.

With all surgeries, regardless of what techniques are utilized and combined- the goal is simple- to create the most natural looking nose that fits your face and is in artistic balance with your other facial features and proportions. Also, and this is paramount- a constant emphasis on the preservation of anatomy- alar cartilages, septum and dorsum (when appropriate) combines to create the most favorable results for a nose that looks natural and maintains, (and often improves) nasal function and airflow.

WHAT ARE THE MOST COMMON RISKS OF RHINOPLASTY?

Every type of surgery has risks. It’s my ethical responsibility to educate you on these risks so you can make the best possible decision for yourself while weighing these risks against the benefits of surgery. My training helps me to minimize these risks to the best of my ability, but I cannot eliminate them entirely. Common risks include stiffness in nasal tip, irregularities of bone or cartilage, damage to the nasal skin, and damage to the internal linings of the nose.

The risks above are the most common ones that I think you should be aware of, but they are not a complete list of all possible risks. When I see you in consultation and we begin to formulate your surgical treatment plan, I’ll review with you not only these common risks but also the less likely complications that may occur.
